Summer Ventures

Ever since I decided to create this blog I've been sort of procrastinating to post anything because of school, summer, and mostly just because I'm just lazy! So here are a few pictures from my summer to make myself feel more productive on blogger than I actually am :) a lot of them are going to be pictures of food JUST SAYING

Momo Sushi

This is actually THE best sushi place in Vancouver. No joke. Its one of the 'hidden gems' which no one knows about. The size of their sushi is already pretty decent but on top of that they dump LOADS of extra toppings on top and its SUUUUUUUUUUUUPER cheap! These three rolls cost us $15 I think and usually this would cost $30 alone at any other Japanese restaurant here. This one time I had a full size tempura udon and a dynamite roll combo that only costed $4.95!! They also give free soup and appetizers too ^o^ Its a little far from where we live but my boyfriend and I come here at least once a month and its our favorite :D You can find it in downtown Vancouver on Robson and Bidwell.

Aaaaaaaand some more food porn!

I went to the Night Market a lot this summer, once two days a row but luckily I didn't get sick or anything from the food!  Maybe being a local helps build up your immunity to food poisoning B) The food section of the Night Market is basically as if all the greasiest, unhealthiest, most sinful streetfoods of asia congregated in one convient location. Be prepared to drop AT LEAST 30-40 bones on food here. You think you would never spend so much on street food but when its all conveniently there in your face you'll easily lose your will power T^T  These two pictures dont even suffice for the amount of food I've eaten here this summer.....

My favorite Dj duo Tritonal was also in town in August!
But I lost all my videos because my phone got wiped out :'(

We also went to the Vancouver Aquarium towards the end of summer since its been on our bucket list for a while and it was finally nice enough outside to go!

and this giant white turd of a beluga whale.

After being in awe over this creature we went upstairs to watch its live show and sat in the splash zone by accident. We ended up getting showered with WHALE POOP. WHAAAAAAAAALE POOP. Literally 10 minutes before we sat down we were still down here watching it and we saw a cloud of white stuff come out of its body and were laughing that it just took a deuce. Then ten minutes later it splashed us with the water that the cloud of white stuff dissolved into. WE'RE SO LUCKY RIGHT

More foodporn :$ This was at another restaurant at Steveston for my boyfriend's birthday.
Did you notice how he ordered oysters and chips AGAIN -______-

And finally to end summer we went camping. The day we got there it was pouring rain and our tents were soaked :( It finally got sunny when we were LEAVING LOL

And lastly we had a hotpot at home with the guys as a going away dinner for my boyfriend because hes heading back east for school and also as an end of summer kinda thing! It took literally the whole day to prepare for this because we actually didn't plan it till two in the afternoon and had to go grocery shopping right away but I think it was a success :D
